These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of awmagcc.org, related StarChapter-hosted pages, and any forms, membership tools, event registration pages, sponsorship pages, donation pages, payment pages, newsletters, or other online services that link to these Terms.


The website is operated by Air & Waste Management Association, Gulf Coast Chapter, doing business as A&WMA-Gulf Coast Chapter or AWMA-GCC (“AWMA-GCC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).


By accessing or using the website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the website.


1. Purpose of the Website
The website is provided to share information about AWMA-GCC, chapter activities, membership, events, sponsorship opportunities, donations, educational resources, professional development, and related programs.


Website content is provided for general informational and educational purposes only and is not legal, regulatory, engineering, environmental, technical, financial, tax, or other professional advice.


2. Membership, Events, Sponsorships, Donations, and Payments
The website may allow users to create or access user accounts, apply for membership, renew membership, register for events, purchase sponsorships, make donations, make payments, or submit related information.


All memberships, event registrations, sponsorships, donations, payments, refunds, cancellations, substitutions, and transfers are subject to the specific terms stated on the applicable page, form, invoice, confirmation email, event notice, sponsorship notice, or donation notice.


If payment processing is available through the website, payments may be handled through StarPay, Stripe, or related third-party payment services. We are not responsible for delays, errors, declined payments, chargebacks, or other issues caused by third-party payment processors, banks, card networks, or other payment systems.


3. Event Registration Fees, Refunds, Donations, and Cancellations
Event registration fees are generally non-refundable. However, refund requests may be considered if the request is submitted within 24 hours of purchase and at least 7 days prior to the event date. Approved refunds may be subject to applicable processing fees.


If an event is canceled by the Air & Waste Management Association Gulf Coast Chapter, registrants will receive a full refund of registration fees paid.


Donations made to the Chapter are generally non-refundable. If a donation was made in error or in an incorrect amount, please contact the Chapter within 30 days of the transaction to request review and assistance.


We reserve the right to determine whether a refund or donation adjustment request satisfies the requirements above. Refunds, when approved, will generally be issued to the original payment method unless otherwise determined by the Chapter or required by applicable payment-processing rules.


4. Accounts and User Submissions
Some portions of the website may require a username, password, member login, or other credentials. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.


If you submit information, materials, comments, forms, presentations, speaker materials, sponsor content, logos, photographs, or other content to AWMA-GCC, you represent that you have the right to submit those materials and that they do not violate the rights of any third party or contain unlawful, misleading, infringing, or harmful content.


You grant AWMA-GCC permission to use submitted materials as reasonably necessary for chapter-related purposes, including event administration, membership administration, sponsorship recognition, communications, archives, and promotion of AWMA-GCC activities.


5. Event Photos, Recordings, and Attendee Information
AWMA-GCC may photograph, record, stream, or otherwise document events, meetings, webinars, conferences, or programs. AWMA-GCC may also use or share attendee lists, member directories, board or committee rosters, sponsor recognition, presentation materials, and similar materials for chapter-related purposes.


By attending or participating in AWMA-GCC events or programs, you understand that your name, image, likeness, voice, professional affiliation, presentation materials, or participation may be used in chapter communications, archives, educational materials, sponsor recognition, event materials, or promotional materials.


6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the website for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or harmful purposes. You also agree not to attempt unauthorized access to the website or related systems, interfere with website security or availability, upload harmful code, scrape or collect personal information without authorization, misrepresent your identity or affiliation, or submit false, misleading, defamatory, discriminatory, infringing, or otherwise inappropriate content.


We may suspend or terminate access to the website, member tools, event tools, donation tools, payment tools, or account-based features if we believe the website has been misused or these Terms have been violated.


7. Intellectual Property
The website and its content, including text, graphics, logos, images, designs, software, layout, and other materials, are owned by AWMA-GCC, its licensors, its service providers, or other content owners and are protected by intellectual property laws.


You may view and use website content for personal, professional, informational, and chapter-related purposes. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, publish, or exploit website content without prior written permission, except as permitted by law or expressly allowed on the website.


All third-party names, logos, trademarks, and service marks remain the property of their respective owners.
